Diane Mink Parr, age 78, died on February 6, 2026, at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida, after a lengthy illness. She was born Sandra Diane Faggart to Farrell and Juanita Faggart on October 30, 1947, in Concord, North Carolina. After graduating from Harrisburg (NC) High School in 1966, Diane began a successful career as a beautician and hairdresser.
In 1974, she married Jack Herschel Mink, happily answering a new calling as wife, mother, and homemaker and moving with her husband to Central Florida. After Jack’s sudden, untimely death in 1994, Diane reentered the workforce as a food broker. She met Edgar Glenn Parr in Orlando in 2000, and married him in 2001. Glenn’s acceptance of a civil service position with the Air Force necessitated a move to the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area in 2003. After his retirement in 2014, they moved back to Florida, this time to Tallahassee.
Diane enjoyed cooking, needlework, and golf, and but most of all she adored her family. She was a considerate, generous, and outgoing person who made everyone she met feel special. Her legacy lies with the untold number of people, many of whom never knew her name, who’s day was brightened by her smile, kind words, and caring manner.
In addition to her husband Jack, Diane was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Kay Carroll and Kathy Shropshire, brother Doug Faggart, son-in-law Kevin Karnisky, and stepsons Henry Mink and Stuart Parr. In addition to her husband Glenn, she is survived by her daughter Tiffany Karnisky and grandsons Aaron and Calvin Karnisky of Tallahassee, and son Mark Mink, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Heichel, and granddaughter Victoria Mink of Lincoln, Alabama.
In keeping with her wishes, no visitation or formal services will be held.
