Sanjit came to Tallahassee from Calcutta, India in 1975. He was a television graphics artist at WFSU-TV, where he worked for 28 years.
Sanjit was also an artist who created artworks in batik, oil, and acrylic. His works were shown in galleries in Tallahassee, Miami, Atlanta, London, and elsewhere.
Sanjit is survived by his wife, Tapati Datta, of 59 years; sons, Santanu Kumar Datta and Sanjay Datta; and three grandchildren.
Funeral Service will begin at 10 AM on Friday January 30, 2026 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Rd, Tallahassee, FL, 32308.
