Born on April 7, 1953, in Marianna, Florida, to Mamie Louise Mills and Edward Ralph Kent, Sharon brought light and laughter into her family from the very beginning. That same light only grew stronger as she embraced her many roles throughout life — as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Sharon shared 44 beautiful years of marriage with her late husband, Rudy Van Snyder — a union grounded in love, faith, and unshakable partnership. Their life together was a true testament to enduring devotion. Though we mourn their separation in this life, we find peace in knowing they are now reunited once again.
As a mother, Sharon’s greatest joy was found in her daughters, Randee Eastman (Michael) and Dana Finuff (Bo). She raised them with strength, compassion, and unwavering love. That love only grew as she became a grandmother to Riley Hammar, Kelsey Hammar, and Shelby Finuff — and expanded even more when she was blessed with great-grandchildren, Scarlet and Waylon. Every milestone, every moment with her family was cherished deeply.
Sharon’s spirit lives on in those she leaves behind: her brother Stanley Kent and her sister Rhonda Sellers, who stood beside her through life’s blessings and burdens. She now joins her beloved parents and brothers, Phillip Kent, and Randy Kent in eternal peace — and we take comfort in imagining their joyful reunion beyond this life.
A proud American and an avid supporter of President Trump, Sharon found peace and joy in life’s simple pleasures — sitting on the porch, watching deer and hummingbirds, and painting with her heart. These quiet moments reflected the calm and warmth she brought to those around her.
To know Sharon was to know quiet strength, gentle wisdom, and unconditional love. Whether she was cheering on her grandchildren, offering a listening ear, or sharing a warm hug, she made everyone feel safe, known, and truly loved.
Sharon was many things — a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife, and friend — but above all, she was a presence. A comforting, loving, and lasting presence in the lives of those she touched. While our hearts ache in her absence, her legacy lives on in the way we love our families, support one another, and live with kindness, just as she did.
Rest peacefully, Sharon. Reunited at last with your beloved Rudy, your love echoes through generations, and your spirit remains forever in our hearts.
