

Shirley Darlien Ann Dreblow, 79, of Tallahassee, FL, was called to God on February 23, 2015, surrounded by loving family. Shirley was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 20, 1935. She was the daughter of Cecelia Weddington and Nicholas Melbinger and adopted granddaughter of Florence Young. As a bright intelligent young lady, she skipped a grade in school. She earned her associates degree as a licensed practical nurse and spent her career working in various roles in hospitals and in the private sector. As a nurse, Shirley cherished delivering babies and caring for emergency patients as well as providing in-home elderly care. She retired from a later career at Educational Credential Evaluators in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Shirley survived breast cancer, earning the nickname "Tiger" from her doctors because she was such a tough fighter.Shirley was an active member of the Red Hat Society. She was a lifelong sports fan of the Packers, Badgers, Braves (later Brewers) and FSU Seminoles. She loved to crochet and spend time with family and friends. She wed Lester Herman Fischer on Valentine's Day in 1955 and had two children. They were married for 34 years until his death in 1989. Shirley married Ronald Allen Dreblow on June 12, 1993. Shirley is survived by her husband, Ronald Dreblow; son John Edward Fischer and his wife, Judith Taylor-Fischer; daughter Christine Zoll and her husband Frank Zoll; and six grandchildren: Nicholas Fischer, Alex Fischer, Collin Zoll, Ryan Zoll, Sarah Zoll, and Meghan Zoll: and many other friends she considered family.A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 26, at 10:00am at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
