Theresa Ann Thompson

Theresa Ann ("Terri") Thompson, age 55, of Lafayette, LA, formerly of Tallahassee, FL passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at University Medical Center in Lafayette.

She was born September 15, 1956 to James and Robbie Donaldson.

She was as an independent medical transcriber. She had a passionate heart for animals as she was a volunteer for the Animal Rescue Foundation in Lafayette taking in and caring for dogs without a home.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Donaldson of Tallahassee, FL.

Survivors include, Robbie Donaldson, her mother of Tallahassee, FL; a daughter, Nikki Thompson of Bristol, FL; and her husband, Daniel Burke; two sisters, Robyn Donaldson of Tallahassee, FL and Becky Kelly and her husband, Mike Kelly of Ohio; two granddaughters, Danielle Rawlings and Shelby Rawlings of Tallahassee, FL; one nephew, Steven Kelly of Ohio; and Pat Cook, her lifelong companion of Lafayette, LA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to the Leon County Humane Society, 413 Timberlane Rd., Tallahassee, FL 32312 or the Animal Rescue Foundation of Louisiana, P.O. Box 53501, Lafayette, LA 70505.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Culley's Meadowood Timberlane Chapel, 700 Timberlane Rd., Tallahassee, FL at 6:00 p.m. Friends are invited to join the family in the MeadowWood Room starting at 5:30 p.m. where refreshments and such will be served.

Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.
