Walter was born in Vero Beach, FL on October 10, 1940. He graduated from Sanford High School, attended Florida State University, and served in the United States Air Force for 4 years.
Walter worked for the city of Tallahassee in Radio Communications and retired after thirty years in 2005. He had a passion for Florida State University sports, touring the United States and cruising the World.
Walter is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marlene L. Middleton; children, Donna E. Burnette (Ron) and Michael C. Middleton (Jennifer); grandchildren: Kristina Burnette, Jennifer Burnette, Elizabeth Middleton, Eddie Middleton, Brittany Martin, and Daniel Martin; great grandchildren: Alani Vincent and Charlie Vincent; brother, Raymond Middleton. He was predeceased by his sisters, Grace Underwood and Barbara Sharpe.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, July 16, 2021, at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Rd., Tallahassee, FL. Condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home.
