Wanda Coffield, age 71, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2021, with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Cuba Herring.
Wanda was born in Tallahassee, FL on January 11, 1950. She attended Leon High School and later graduated from Florida State University where she met her husband, Randy Coffield. She spent 35 years in banking and retired in 2009. Wanda was an active member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Whigham, Georgia, and an active member in the Southern Trail Rider’s Association, which enabled her to pursue her love of horses. During her years of retirement she enjoyed being a school volunteer in her granddaughter’s classrooms, and was also a volunteer for many years with the Red Hills Horse Trials . Wanda will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched through her great sense of humor and kindness.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Randy Coffield, two sons: Todd Coffield (Michelle), Troy Coffield, and grandchildren: Camryn and Rylee Coffield; sisters: Myra Ann Payton, Jeanyne Conway, Amanda Whetsel and Nina McCown; mother-in-law, Ilene Coffield; sisters-in-law: Lisa Felder and Kathy Belcher; nieces: Myra Miller, Meredith Noblin, Carson and Casey Felder, Paige Rosenberger, Kim Conway, Aubrey Juniper; nephews: Ray Conway and Dan Belcher.
An informal celebration of life will be held July 26th at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Triple R Horse Rescue of Tallahassee, P.O. Box 494, Tallahassee, FL, 32302, or Big Bend Hospice.
