

Wilfred W. Cooper (W.W.), Sr., passed away on January 16, 2012 in Tallahassee, FL after a lengthy illness.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. EST, Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home Chapel on Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL.
Born on November 23, 1928, in Quincy, FL, W.W. lived most of his life in the Tallahassee, FL area, spending the last forty years in Crawfordville. After graduating from high school, he joined the military and proudly served his country in both the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. He spent his work career in the insurance industry, retiring from the Florida Department of Insurance in 1984. W.W. loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing, and camping with his family. Upon his retirement, he and his wife, Margaret, traveled across the country, enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors. He also loved the ocean, enjoying numerous cruises in his lifetime.
W. W. was preceded in death by his father, Charles Cooper; his mother Louise Clark Cooper Chester; and two sisters, Betty Cooper Beam and Helen Cooper Cook.
W.W. is survived by his wife, Margaret, of sixty years; their son, Wayne Cooper of Sopchoppy, FL; their three daughters, Terresa Haskew (Ben) of Greenville, SC, Lisa Cooper of Crawfordville, FL, and Denise Skipper of Crawfordville, FL; and one brother, Jim Cooper (Sharon) of Havana, FL. W. W. leaves behind seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Wakulla Senior Citizens Center, 33 Michael Drive, Crawfordville, FL, 32327 or Second Harvest Food Bank, 110 Four Points Way, Tallahassee, FL 32305.
