
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. EDT, Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church with graveside services at 12:30 p.m., at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 till 7 p.m. EDT, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home-Riggins Road Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch or Big Bend Hospice 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee, FL 32308.
Bill was born in Rockford, Alabama, and was a long time resident of Tallahassee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bill retired after thirty years of service with the Department of Corrections, and then was employed with PRIDE. In his retirement years he served as a volunteer with the TMH Auxiliary.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia McEwan Gregory Kelley of Tallahassee; two sons, William (Nicole) Kelley of Murphy, N.C., John (Shelly)Kelley of Tallahassee; four grandchildren, Rebecca Kelley, Mathew Kelley, Cody Kelley, Courtney Kelley; two sisters, Annie Herndon of Tallahassee, Jean Parrish of Jacksonville, five step children, Dean (Lynda) Gregory, David (Boni) Gregory, Linda (George) Shealy, Carole (Stan) Herold, Sandra (Jerry) Jones; twelve step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqueline Kelley.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
