Rev. William S. McLoud, affectionately known as "Bill", age 75, of Monticello, Florida passed away into eternal life on Friday, March 17, 2023. Born March 10, 1948 in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Robert L. McLoud and Evelyn Martin McLoud. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Redcay McLoud; son, Bryan McLoud; sister, Barbara Howell; brother-in-law, Bob Redcay (Shirley); sister-in- law, Suzanne McClellan and many cherished lifelong friends. Bill was married to the love of his life and soul mate, Cindy, for 45 beautiful years. Their marriage was an example of commitment and unity to all that knew them.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Bill knew that his relationship with the Lord and ministering to the community was his passion. Bill graduated with a Masters of Divinity in 1972 from Vanderbilt University. After graduating, The Lord set Bill on a path where he spent the next 40 years as a devout Methodist Minister preaching and serving all over Florida. Bill officially retired in 2011, however spreading the Word of God never ceases and Bill lived by that. Bill kept ministering to every individual he encountered and he knew no stranger.
Bill was a Northerner by birth, but a Southerner at heart. He had many interests such as hunting, being outdoors and traveling with his wife. Together they ventured from the pyramids of Egypt to the Grand Barrier Reef of Australia. He cherished his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
There will be a service held in the future at Wildwood Church in Tallahassee, Florida. The date and times are pending.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.CulleysMeadowWood.com for the McLoud family.
