Hey Dad, I miss you a lot.  and it still hurts saying that with tears running down my face. 
You're the best and will always be the best father a child can have.
You gave me one of the greatest gifts anyone could ever give; you believed in me and loved me without hesitation. 
Losing you was the most traumatic event in my life. I can’t forget the pain from hearing the worst news that day. I just can't seem to get over losing you and I still cry whenever I try to talk about it to this day cause at the thought of you, memories flood in; its HARD I tell you, but you thought me to be strong and am glad u did for it brought me out a state of depression I fell in for 2 years + after losing you.
Even though it hurts. I’d give anything to relive those memories again with you for am so thankful for all the memories we shared together cause that's what keeps me going; the many wise words you would often say, and I would take them as you just being a dad and not think those same words would be a pillar of strength for me today.
 I only wish you were still here cause for from time - time the pain is too much and have me locking away asking God why you, but you thought me to never give up no matter what and for that I give thanks for the many memories we created and the amazing childhood I had growing up for you never missed a birthday or major events and was always there to ensure I did my best although every time u had to leave and fly back up for work I would cry.
There was always a safe space and time to talk or just being there to ensure am on the right pathway. 
I can go on for hours or more about how amazing you are, both good time and times I thought was bad but realizing now that you just had my best interest at heart.

I Pray u rest in peace every day and continue to watch over us Dad; I would give the world just to hug u one last time and hear you say it's going to be ok son.

I never knew his real name and he never knew mine ,but on the ramp I call him Boss and he called me Deacon. He said he called me Deacon because he never saw me get into things and he said I was blessed. We lost an angel, straight out. When I heard I couldn’t believe and I was hoping it wasn’t him. Rest In Peace Boss and thank you for those times when you told me to hang in there. A real beacon of hope and inspiration at FLL. 

Our family suffered a devastating loss and will continue to feel the impact. Junior was my cousin that I didn’t grow up with but I couldn’t tell once I met him. He never treated me like a cousin, I always felt much closer. My mother saw him as a son and I’m sure others did as well. He never hesitated to answer a call, and helped me to achieve “impossible” feats. He was definitely the man to know.

Everyone in his life was family and his heart was big enough to spread love throughout. I love and will miss my big brother Junior, and I know that Paul and others with an even closer connection suffered a much greater loss. As I continue to remember the life of the great Junior I’ll also continue to remember and pray for others as they mourn. Long Live Junior, Peace my Brother!

My name is Rev. Steven A Blest Sr. and I am a pastor/chaplain. I have been ministering to the folks at the job since I started there in 1997. 
I have known Alvin the entire time he was with us at the airport. What a blessing it was to become friends with and be a light and sounding board for Alvin. 
My fondest memory is that every time we ran into each other he would ask for a blessing to give him a spiritual boost!! He started calling me "your holiness"  and I would lovingly and jokingly say back " would you like to kiss my ring?" He always said no but it was good for a laugh! He would always ask if I had any Holy water with me so I could anoint those he thought were in need of it. This too was done in a humorous way! We shared many laughs together.  
My heart and prayers go out to his wife and family as they mourn his loss. 
I will truly miss his greetings and friendship!

A protector, caring, friendly, hilarious and go getter that’s Junior.  In 1976 my family and I moved to Waterford. The following year Junior step in our life.  He always went above and beyond to make sure my sister and I were ok.  Sometimes he would stand in the hot sun by our gate and talk to us.    I can remember while I was in high school, a group of us would congregate at the Independent City big tree waiting for the bus . When the bus arrived Junior would make sure everyone boarded the bus before he got on.   As the years went by , everyone went their ways but faith would have it we met again and the journey continued.  Junior always give a listening ear, always has a good story and if you have a problem and he can’t fix it, always know a man round de carna.  Well Junior I’ll miss you but we shall meet again.                                            

My deepest condolences to the family. You suffered a great loss indeed. But please know  with great certainty your beloved  was well loved my many.

Junior my friend ,big brother and protector. I have so many fun memories of you growing up we were kids.  We meet when I  was nine . And  you became a  dear neighbor , family friend And a big brother. And of course like any little sister, I would give you tons of attitude. Your response to  my  sass  would be “why you give yourself so much trouble?” We had fun we laughed we played life was so simple then. 
We  went to Kingston technical high school together you were a senior , and I a  freshman. You would take  the time to checkin  with me daily at lunch  to ensure I was doing ok. You and our crew would walk to the bus station  together daily, where we would linger a bit  to fellowship before we catch our respective buses. You would also stay back   after school on days I had homic  class, so you could test my baking skills or lack there of  L.O.L . It bought my parents  comfort  knowing I had u looking out for me.  It was also,  a big deal to me as well, especially as a freshman.  I felt special.   Although distant kept us apart  I will always remember you as my friend and big  brother. 
So with tears streaming down my face . And great memories  of you that I will  forever cherish .

Alvin Williams, Junoir, has been my family, my friend since the 1970's as a young man growing up with my children and others there in Waterford Jamaica. More than others he got my attention because he is respectful, positive and gracious, with a great thirst for knowledge and questions everything. Sets high goals on what he wanted to be. And go after them. He was a real leader and helped a lot of people in their quest and zeal for life. Because of that,  it did not matter who needed the help. Junoir was willing and if couldn't he would find a way so that this person can be helped. All in all he was special to me. And I will always remember him night and day. Rest in peace my Son. And Gods mercy. 

Alvin, my friend, co-worker and confidante was a warm, friendly, self-motivated and 
goal-oriented  person. There was always this insatiable desire and quest to seek knowledge, wisdom and understanding. It was admirable. He loved education. 
He took his job seriously - he loved it.
He had love for self, family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humour, he had a BIG personality, he was charismatic. 
So many dreams, plans and aspirations that have been left unfulfilled. His memory will live on forever. You will truly be missed. You made your mark.

I find it hard to accept that I will never again hear that cheerful greeting from the gentlest giant I have ever met. You were like a blood family and so so caring to everyone. Your absence will certainly create a void in the many lives you have touched. I have seen you over the decades just helping people so selflessly and genuinely. Your contagious, joyous, and loud laughter is indelibly etched in my memory. You were a great friend.
May the family find peace in knowing that you were loved as much as you loved others. You were so personable that you gave everyone a unique nickname and I can still hear you shouting “Hey Sunny” across the fence wall that separated our homes. We eventually lived long distance from each other, but that didn’t change a thing. Rest in eternal peace my dear friend Willie.

THE JOURNEY WITH THIS MAN (MY BROTHER) GAVE WAY TO ALL POSSIBILITIES, BECAUSE OF HIS CRAVING FOR KNOWLADGE.

NOW SPEAKING OF MY BREATHREN ALVIN ON THE REAL.

The first time I met him, rather experienced my Friend & co-worker “BIG MAN”, I had just come back from my days off, and all of a sudden, the light at the door was eclipsed and the Sound & Energy coming from the door was unavoidable.  
You have to understand that I am a person of a much calmer & gentler personality, but I did eventually learn the Great Value and experience of my friend.    
  I called it the Alvin experience. I Truly appreciate and will greatly miss.
So, Family & Friends, let’s all be Confident in the assurance that in times of mourning comfort will come, and in times of sorrow, laughter will come.
Please remember he will forever live within our Hearts and minds as we remember the Good Times, we all enjoyed with this Gently Giant 


Firstly, condolences to the Marston and Williams family from my family.

Alvin Williams, aka Junior, Birdman has been my friend and 'brethren' for over 40 years.
We met in Waterford, Jamaica and that was when and where it all began.
Our friendship developed because our mothers worked with the same organization.
We were very involved in our community especially when we became a part of the youth club.
We played football, cricket and even netball with the girls from Unity Youth club while they trained.
We went to church together, club outings and functions, we even walked the streets together searching for our first job.
We never lost contact even as he migrated to the USA. He would always call me when he is in Jamaica saying,  "Chippy I am in di place', meaning he is at his home in Greater Portmore.
I remember our last encounters, praying for him on his last visit and also telling him via whatsapp couple months ago of how I appreciated his friendship and how he helped me to be bold and stronger as a man.
I was surprised to hear of your illness and sudden passing, I was stunned and at a loss.

Rest in peace my friend and I hope to see you in heaven.

Junior our friend and brother you will be missed but not forgotten.  This is just a sleep but rest my brother and we will see you in that great day when the trumpet sound and God will make his appearance.

We will miss the birthday calls from you and to you.  May the peace of God abide with you until that day when we will meet again.

My dear cousin, Alvin Williams aka Bird, Junior.  He was like a father , uncle and a big brother to me.  My cousin lived a life that was full of Joy and happiness . He was the vibes master. I remember how he used to tell me about his childhood days with my mom, and his other siblings and how they use to sneak out and go to the river and parties. There was never a dull moment around him.  He was my Grandmother favorite. I can hear his voice in my head say “ Winnie yuh alright? Mek sure yuh alright eno and nuh bother fret pon nth” . He was full of love and compassion for his family and those around him. He is going to be sadly missed.... May Your Soul Rest In Peace My dear cousin.

God gave us a star that have shone his warm and gentle light through our hearts Alvin Bird, Junior, you were more than a big brother to me you were my confidant and a friend. I remember when we were younger you always looked out for my best interest even though you knew I hated my pet name you teased me with it non stop and eventually I ended up liking it. You thought me a life lesson there it doesn't matter what people might say it is how you prove them wrong. Perhaps they are not stars but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are there keep shining my brother I see you.

Hello Heaven,  I am searching for an old friend whom I recently lost. He is tall in stature,  warm in spirit, has a heart for others and a beautiful smile. We use to spend quality time talking about the future,  planning for great ventures, taking care of other people's lives especially when they can't do it for themselves. We worked as friends and life partners for many years. 
He loved life and didn't mind having a great time especially when it came to dancing, sharing a good joke, spending time with family.  He's noted for his recollection of dates, events, even my favorite food and color. 
 
When you see him, tell (Willie) and his favorite girl Ms. Sita. (his grandma) hello for me.  Please let him know my son and I loved him dearly. We are heart broken,  yet his memories are forever etched in our soul and heart. Thanks for the many fond moments from youthful years in Jamaica to adult years in US.

I am still in shock.  My heart goes out to his family and relatives. Such a kind and caring soul. Met him only once but his charisma and caring spirit left a lasting impression on my husband and myself. SIP.

When I got the news of my cousin passing I was in shock.  I am still trying to come to the reality that I will not see him, talk to him or hear his laughter anymore.
He will be missed by family,friends,coworkers and neighbours.

I sat here just as I did when I heard the news, in disbelief, sad and replaying the memories (so many wonderful memories of you in my head) you will be greatly missed, your quick humor, your resounding laugh, that certain sparkle in your eye, hearing you shout the nickname that you called me ever since I was 7.

You genuinely cared for others and were a great guardian to me when you were needed to step in. Junior we love you and I will cherish daily the times we shared together and the fun we had.

When I got the news of the passing of Junior I was in total shocked and the tears won't stop flow.
He was my neighbor and friend, I lived couple houses from him. Junior is a no nonsense guy but he was also fun loving and loves to give joke.
Most morning when my sister and I are leaving out to go to work we would hear him calling us to wait for him, we take the same bus to go to our different workplace, sometime we will see each other at the bus terminus when we coming back over.
When he migrated to the USA we still keep in touch, I last spoke to him last month where we were talking about the changes in our neighborhood in Jamaica.
You are gone but not forgotten my dear friend, you will surely be missed.

Alvin was one of the best workers, coworker, and friend. his joy and smile will be missed here at Broward County Aviation's.

I actually didn’t know what to write, sat with the phone in my hands just thinking of what to say. You wasn’t blood family but certainly felt as if you were, I can still hear your voice calling me “Dr Burke”. The great ones always go first they say, so not deserved. Your legacy will always live on this hits hard. BCAD is not the same since that day, we have no one to lift our spirits, wether we coming in to work or leaving. I’m going to miss you big bro, forever in my heart. “Bless thy soul dear Lord, grant access through your gates of everlasting life” Amen.
