

Dennis was born in Brooklyn NY and attended Catholic school until he enlisted in the US Army. After his honorable discharge his first job was with a revived Brooklyn Daily Eagle. With a deep rooted family history that saw Dennis’ grandfather help establish the NMDU out of the Newsboys Strike this began his long career in the newspaper industry.
Working for various newspapers, among them; The New York Journal American, The New York Times and the Newark Evening News, Dennis landed at the New York Daily News. A dedicated worker who never took a day off, he loved his job and the riches it provided with friendships that lasted his entire lifetime.
In retirement, Dennis relocated to south Florida where he truly flourished. His love of music was the catalyst for him to thrive and meet so many people in the music, restaurant & entertainment industry. With an exceptional long term memory, he had an uncanny ability to recall facts and tell jokes that always brought laughter and smiles to others.
His survivors include: Daniel and his wife Sharon of New Providence NJ; one granddaughter Morgan Rose of Harrisonburg VA; his beloved brother Thomas and his wife Susan of Matawan NJ.
He was predeceased in death by his wife Georgiana; his parents Thomas and Mary and his sister Debbie.
