Elizabeth "Betty" Simone Kennedy

Elizabeth "Betty" Simone Kennedy, of Parkland, FL passed away peacefully Saturday, May 22, 2021 at John Knox Village, Pompano Beach, FL. Born in Providence, RI, she was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Simone and her mother, Julia Simone; her brothers, Joseph Simone, Jr. and Anthony Simone. She is survived by her loving children Joyce Ann DiStefano and her husband Robert, and her son William Kennedy and his wife Maria, and predeceased by her beloved daughters Julie Ann Barrett and Elizabeth Ann Kennedy. Betty was the cherished "Nana" of Jennifer Barrett-Thompson, and her husband Tom, Lisa Marie DiStefano-Santamarta and her husband Reinaldo, Robert Philip DiStefano, Jr. and his wife Youmna, Briana Marie, Angelina Sophia Kennedy and Anthony Joseph Kennedy. She was the proud Nana to her Great Grandchildren Sarah Jean, Jessie, Alexys, Reinaldo, Valentina, Roberto, Jada and Ava. Betty is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

Betty’s viewing will be held Wednesday, June 2nd, from 5 pm until 8 pm at Bailey Memorial 6701 West Commercial Boulevard, Tamarac FL, 33319. There will a final viewing the following morning from 9 am until 10:30 am again at Bailey Memorial. We will depart at 10:30 am sharp in procession to Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church for a Funeral Mass starting promptly at 11 am, located at 1400 S. State Road 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068. Immediately following the Church Service we will proceed next door to the Mausoleum for her final resting.
