Dear Janine, I always remember your joy and willingness to help me with that very difficult visa 20 years ago. Since then and in every situation, your attitude towards me has been the same. Today I can only say thank you when saying goodbye. I do it calmly, knowing that you had a great life that also includes having been my father's couple for so many years. Rest in peace

Our relationship began in Thanksgiving 2001, it was an instant connection, we went through ups and downs, after several years we decided to live together in 2008, it was a relationship based in love, confidence and to take care each other. 

 It was an honor that you give me the privilege to share your life, you are an incredible person and like your spiritual niece said "You have a great heart, specially with people who gained your heart"  Testimonies of this are like when you lived in Zimbadwe , Afrika in the farm of your ex husband (Mr Winter),  when  the wife of a worker was pregnant, instead to give birth in the tribe, you always offered your house for the labors, securing a better attention. Or later working for the World Bank in missions in Afrika worked in the campaign against Aids, giving special attention to the women and stablished a special connection with them and getting better results in the fight against aids. 

You were an special person, a free spirit, an open minded and very smart. You loved me so much and I loved you so much, that was the equation for the happiness we had through the years, we travelled, we party and enjoyed our ironic sense of humor, one day you said to me "Edu, have you seen that we have the same sense of humor" and we laughed. I'm going to miss you a lot, but my heart will NEVER forget you, and I'm going to do that nobody around me forget you. I love you my adorable Janine.

Lamento tanto no haberte conocido personalmente! Pero me llegó directamente la luz q irradiabas y el amor y alegría q le diste a una de las personas q más quiero en el mundo. Dichosos los q recibieron tu amor y tu felicidad por la vida. Un cariño al cielo.

I will always remember Janine with her cheerful, affectionate, warm, and festive smile. That night when we went out for dinner and 'Hotel California' was playing, Janine, with her beautiful voice, started singing it. In that moment, I felt she was the most beautiful person I had ever seen in my life; being close to her made you feel at home."

For those of you who were lucky enough to have met this special lady. Jaja !!! Like some of us called her on occasion. I can honestly say my life was better because she was in it.  You see, when you are a kid, like I was when I met Aunt Janine,  some people pass you by and are nice but they don’t really want you near, and then there are special people, like my Aunt Janine, she took one look at me, the kind of look that cares,  and she knew instantly that I needed a fun aunt and she was definitely up for the job. She never had kids of her own (except for her two dogs Boris & Natasha) I’m not sure if she even liked kids, but she liked me, So she took me under her wing taught me things Andy did all the fun things that fun Aunts are supposed to do. She was the first one to teach me how to knit, something I love to do today and brings me so much joy. I remember one time she even volunteered to die my hair and never told me it was her first time doing highlights (which at the time you did with a little cone head cap and holes taking strands of hair that should have looked blonde, but instead turned to be white and I loved it!!! All with crinkle strands of burned little hairs which my puertorican  grandmother almost shaved off my head, as soon as she got the chance. You see, I was 15 and the highlights made me look older😉
She would encourage me to do things out of the box and helped me see that women are not made to follow or to be submissive and live to others standards, she taught me that I could do anything, as long as I had fun with it.  You see, that’s how she lived her life, she got it!!! We come to this world to love, eat, dance and have fun, and if you are not having fun in your life, you should take a good look, like Janine did, and choose to have fun.  Gracias mi querida Tía Janine! Que bueno fue tenerte en mi vida🥰

My dear beloved Janine. I will never forget all the good times, the laughter , the deep conversations we had together and above all dancing to the Rolling Stones.  You were a woman with such wisdom and strength, I admired you so much. Thank you for  being there for me when times were hard and taking care of my grandfather, you took such good care of him that your treated him more like a father than a father in law. May your soul rest in peace , heaven has gained another beautiful Angel. Your memory will forever live within my heart. I love you Janie, you will be missed.🤍

Dear beautiful Janine, may you rest in peace you were an incredible woman, heaven has gained another angel. My family and i are incredibly grateful for all the love and kindness you brought to us. I will forever cherish the beautiful memories i had with you growing up.  We will never forget how you were always there for us and took care of my  grandfather and my sister.  The memory of you will always be in our hearts forever.
