

Luen Wendy Chan, age 68, of Coral Springs, Florida, passed away on February 20th, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends. For the better part of her life, Wendy was devoted to being the best mother and then grandmother she could be. For the past 20 years, she felt so fortunate to have found her second family at Chinese Baptist Church of Coral Springs, FL, where she was an active member. For the last 18 years, she worked at Sun Hing Wholesale, where they treated her like family.
Wendy was born in Hong Kong, but later moved to Israel, where she worked in the restaurant business. In 1985, she moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She has lived in Florida ever since and was proud to become a U.S. Citizen.
Wendy is survived by her three children and their spouses Carmen Lau Batten (David), Cathy Lau Barraco (Anthony), and Yohnny Wai Hang Lau (Jessica). She had five grandchildren: Paxton Batten, Tanner Batten, Liam Barraco, Lucas Barraco, and Chloe Lau. She is also survived by her former spouse, Jimmy Chi Ming Lau.
Besides her children and grandchildren, Wendy is survived by her four siblings: Chi Fai Chan (brother), Po Ling Chan (sister), Chi Wing Chan (brother), and Po Kam Chan (sister), who all reside in Hong Kong. She will be missed everyday by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Chinese Baptist Church of Coral Springs (200 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs, FL) on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10 a.m.. A fellowship reception at the church will follow immediately after. The burial ceremony will be private.
