

Robert Thompson, affectionately known as “Beaver,” was born in Mississippi and raised in Florida, where he carried his country roots and strong values throughout his life. Robert attended Texas College, where he played a mean game of basketball. A proud businessman, he owned and operated several businesses over the years. He believed deeply in hard work, entrepreneurship, standing on his word, and taking pride in providing for his family.
He was a devoted husband to Juna Thompson, sharing nearly 43 years of marriage. He was a loving father to Octavia (Velt), Roderick, Daja, and Bobby (Chelsea), and a cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 6 great-grandchildren.
Robert loved sports and was a loyal fan of the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and the University of Florida Gators, proudly supporting the Gators in honor of his granddaughter, Malasia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Idetha Thompson and O.C. Little.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; his sister, Emma McKenzie (Bryant) his brother, Arthur Thompson (Alice); two sisters-in-law; mother-n-law and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
