Sister Veda as the years moved on it seems you are still here with us, but quick recollection makes it clear that you are gone to be with the Lord. I will always remember your  quiet but firm disposition. Your beautiful smile  also your strong faith in God will remain forever in my heart.

We are sorry you had to leave us so soon my dear Sis Rose, but Jesus was ready for you so you had to go. Our hearts continue to ache, but we know you are resting in the arms of Jesus our heavenly father and we will meet you some day.

Pastor Rose was an exemplary, loving, no-nonsense woman of God. She was our Pastor at Bombay for many years.  She always looked out for us at Bombay, opening up her home to us and ensuring that we were well taken care of during the stay. I will never forget how kind she was, always seeking for us to remain on the right path. Our condolences to the family and friends. John 11:25-26

Auntie Rosie my heart is so hurting from your passing 😭. I can honestly say if it was not for your love and kindness, I would not be who I am today. I remember my first three fancy dresses were from you (that I wore until they did not fit anymore). Pastor Crawford (Auntie) and I will never forget all you did, including sharing your Marie with her Marie 😂 Spending weekends with you and family were some of the highlights of my younger years. I remember whenever it rained Father Rose would carry me over the puddles 😂. I am so happy you were able to be apart of my wedding and to see me “Becoming”.  We are so grateful for your life, your wisdom, your fortitude, and your kindness. My life was and is blessed because of you. We are comforted in knowing you are resting with our Savior.  Until we meet again, rest well Auntie Rosie…we Love ❤️ you 😭😭.

She was a great wonderful friend of my Parents, and was an active sweet person of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church of Kingston, Jamaica, W.I. She will be missed. 

Sister Veda was a  dedicated and committed worker in her endeavours. She served and loved the Lord with all her heart. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints, Psalm 116:15. Her memory will always remain in my heart.

The word of the Lord tells us that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord, himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore, let us encourage each other with these words.
On behalf of our Presiding Bishop J.C. Watson and the Faith Temple Pentecostal Organization Family, we unite today, with the many family and friends in celebrating the life of our beloved Pastor Veda Rose who served the organization for over fifty (50) years. We realize that we are all strangers and sojourners passing through, and she had just gone on before. Her contagious laughter and radiant smile still resonate with us, we give thanks to God for the life of a woman we are so proud to call pastor, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and extraordinary irreplaceable individual she was.
She’s gone but not forgotten. Farewell Pastor Veda Rose rest in peace, until that great meeting in that wonderful place of peace and light in God’s Heavenly Kingdom!

TRIBUTE IN REMEMBERANCE FOR THE LIFE OF

She was an ardent pastor who brightens the lives of others. She faithfully served at the Bombay Assembly and the community of Bombay. She carried herself with an air of confidence that would keep us all on our toes. Pastor Rose was an outspoken individual who was not afraid to speak for what is right  We were truly blessed to have her as a pastor, a friend a confidant, and a mentor, throughout the years that God had allowed her to be with us.

We are happy that regardless of her health challenges, she was positive and optimistic as she held on to her faith in God. She had lived a fulfilled life, and today, we will not mourn her passing, but we will celebrate with thanksgiving unto God for her life. Like Paul, she had fought a good fight; she had finished the course and she had kept the faith.

Today we are not grieving for her, because she is now free from pain and all the afflictions of this world. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, looking back at her precious memories will help to comfort our tomorrow.
We thank God for her life and the way she touched many lives. Hers was a life of such sensational creativity and zest, that its ripples will continue to be felt for years to come…and as we reflect on the life of our beloved Pastor Rose let us cherish the golden memories of her and hold them dearly forever. Her life was a circle of influence, for the life she lived speaks for her. The church will miss her enormously and our thoughts will be with all those who are conscious that they have lost a great treasure in her.

Brethren and friends, we do not want to be ignorant about those who fall asleep or to grieve like the rest of the world who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and we believe that Jesus will bring those who have fallen asleep in Him.

When a believing loved one dies, or when we ourselves face the process of dying, there’s great comfort in the fact that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
It is not unusual for any of us to ponder what it will be when we face our final moments here on earth. But the saints who die in the Lord have the certainty that they are blessed, and their death is precious in the sight of the Lord.

 Pastor Veda Rose accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour at the Faith Temple Pentecostal Assemblies Organization (FTPA), 11-15 Phillip Road Kingston 11, under the leadership of Bishop E.F Robotham, she served the ministry faithfully and continued to do so under the guidance of his successor Bishop W.S.Robotham and even when the mantle was passed on to Bishop J.C.Watson her service never dithered her responsibility in executing her duties.
  She formally held the following positions Sunday school teacher, evangelist,   a member of the choir, general secretary for the organization and she was a member of the trustee and executive board where she served as the secretary. She also offers her outstanding services to individuals and communities. She was a prayer warrior, her prayers were extended to everyone even those she did not know. She was always reading the word of God and she preaches the word of God without favour.
 We always looked forward to her inspirational words of encouragement which were spoken under the anointing of the Holy Spirit to bless our souls. One of her most memorable sermons was “We are getting the mercy drops but we should pray for the showers” She was a faithful devotee at almost, if not all the fellowships throughout the years, and was a vibrant representative for her Assembly. Pastor Veda Rose was ordained by Late Bishop W.S Robotham as the pastor of the Bombay Assembly. 

Forever in our hearts Sis Veda...
Rest in peace. 

Sis. Veda, as she was affectionately called was my Junior class Sunday School teacher. It was a delight to be in her class. I remember vividly how she challenged us to learn and recite the books of the bible by heart within a week! It may have seemed daunting but we did and received book prizes for our efforts! It was in Sunday school that I met and played with her nieces Michelle and Erica- we certainly had fun while learning more about God. 
Another memory of Sis Veda for me was her role as the General Secretary at Faith Temple Pentecostal, Headquarters. As a child, her weekly announcement of the church schedule was imprinted on my mind. However, it was her smile and infectious laughter that was so endearing. Her warm embrace made you feel comfortable and felt that she was very much interested in both your physical and spiritual well-being. Even when she became the Pastor of the Bombay out station church, she never lost that common touch. 
Although little in stature, Sis Veda made a huge mark on the lives she touched. You will be dearly missed Sis. Veda (Pastor) your soul rests in peace till we meet again.

TRIBUTE: Sister Veda Rose, as she was affectionately called departed this life without saying goodbye to her family, church family and friends. My family and I have been acquainted with Sister Veda, Pastor Rose, and General Secretary for the Pentecostal Assemblies (Faith Temple) for many years. She was one who portrayed a calm, pleasant, professional, and Christian like demeanor.        

I also had the privilege of working with her on the Faith Temple Pentecostal Assemblies’ Executive Board. She was dedicated, committed and a confidential Secretary to the late Bishops E.F. and W.S. Robotham. Additionally, she was very active in the Sunday School department as a teacher— these are just few of the responsibilities she shouldered in the organization. Prior to her migration to the USA, she was the Pastor for the Bombay Faith Temple Pentecostal Church, which thrived under her leadership with her assistant, Elder Michael Francis (the present Pastor). 

My last encounter with Sis Veda was at the Homegoing Service for the late Bishop Anthony McFarlane in Decatur, Georgia, December 29, 2018. It was truly a great reunion and of course, we were friends on Facebook up to the time of her passing.  

My family and I, express our sincere condolences to her family and friends. Her soul rests in peace.

Thanks to Brother Michael, her nephew, who informed me of her illness and death.  

I remember Goddie coming to support me at my last sports day in preschool. She cheered me on the whole day along with my mother, when it was coming down to the end of the event, it was announced that there was going to be a race for the grandmothers and grandfathers that attended to support their grandkids. Goddie entered the race in the place of my grandmother and won a silver medal. When it was time to go back home she gave me the medal she won and said that I was supposed to keep it. Additionally, she flew from Florida to surprise me at my second sports day in prep school and it wasn't until I finished my race that I found out she was on campus. She’s always been one of my biggest supporters and a tower of strength in my life. I will miss her dearly, sleep in peace my dearest Goddie.

Veda Eleanor Rose, affectionately called, Pastor Rose, Sister Veda, and Goddie, was indeed a faithful, loving, kind and caring woman of God. 
The name Goddie came about as she was Demille’s (my daughter) godmother as such, she called her Goddie.  Pastor Rose and I have shared some memorable moments over the years, as we travelled from Kingston to Manchester for over twenty years to Faith Temple Pentecostal Bombay of which she was the pastor.
 It was an honor when I was asked of her to be a part of the team when she was appointed the pastor of that assembly. Her passion for the saving of souls was paramount, she was indeed a virtuous woman as Proverbs 31:10 states: “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.”

During her tenure as pastor, she served the assembly with diligence. Some of the memories shared by the saints are the wonderful times they had during convention as they would look forward to spending the entire week at her home as her house was always open to them. Pastor Rose would prepare breakfast for them each morning. However, one particular morning she woke them all up and said “come let’s go for a walk,” only to discover that she was taking them to Juicy Beef for breakfast. 
While they were having breakfast together her comments were “this is one of the benefits of not having a husband.” The saints could always go to her for advice, financial help or any other matters as she was always there for them and treated them like family.
 When she advised us of her plans to migrate to join her siblings in America, the news was received gracefully as we were all happy for her, but it was not without mixed feelings as we know that her tenure as our pastor would have come to an end knowing that she would be thousands of miles away. May her soul rest in peace and perpetual light shine upon her.

The dear memories shared whilst journeying to/from Bombay, Manchester, Jamaica every Sunday, where we fellowshipped as she pastored there for a while will never be forgotten! We continued this relationship even when. She migrated.

I'll never forget Aunt Rosie's generosity towards me during height of the pandemic. She called often to check on me and provide food as I was out of work. I will miss her very much as seeing her always brought back fond memories of growing up in Jamaica 🇯🇲.
