Adis Herrera

Adis Herrera, 89, of Tampa, went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Armando Herrera. She is survived by her daughter, Mayra Viste (Michael); her son, Armando Herrera (Chrissy); and her grandchildren, Anthony Viste, Gabriel Herrera and Noelle Herrera.

Adis was born on October 8, 1935, in Havana, Cuba. At the age of 28, she and her husband moved to Tampa, Florida, in search of a better life. Adis would go on to retire from the City of Tampa. The end of her professional career marked the beginning of “the best years of my (her) life”: watching her grandchildren.

For Adis, family was everything. Even when sick in the hospital, her selflessness shone brightly. Always positive, always faithful, and always steadfast in her belief that “everything will be okay.”

A visitation for Adis will be held Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A service will occur Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A graveside service will occur Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4202 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.
