My deepest condolences to Nancy and family. Allen was nicest person I have ever worked with. He always had something positive to say about everyone. He could make the whole room feel better with his  kind words. I had the pleasure of working with Allen for 19 years. We both were usually the last to leave the office and Allen always ended the day with positive thoughts. The world truly is a better place because of Allen. He will be missed by many.

"Ace" as we called him as far back as 85 John St, 80 Maiden Lane, Tarrytown Hts. and Busch Boulevard, where I jumped ship, was the man they were talking about when it came to customer service in commercials.

Integrity was his middle name. After Bud Hines, the founder of the present company hired his Westpoint son in Law as IT director, Bud always spoke to Ace ...........for the rest of the story.

Dearest Allen,

You were the ideal son, husband, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and mentor.  You were the glue that bound the Acevedo family in communication with each other for so many years, as you kept in touch with all sectors of the family.  You were a gracious, generous, kind, gentle and funny Soul and you are already sorely missed.  Thankfully, my memories of you are almost exclusively of pleasant, joyful, fun and funny moments and occasions and I will remember you smiling, laughing, joking and rooting for your favorite sports teams ... all of which bring a smile to my face and induce a warmth in my heart.  Thank you for being such a bright and positive presence in my life, Cousin.  Love you, always.  Nancy, thank you for your fierce courage and zealous advocacy for Allen, during these past few weeks and throughout your marriage.  You are a rock of resilience and deeply appreciated. He got to meet My Sunshine, my last born. The way he got her attention made her feel comfortable for their first-time meeting and sitting still listening!! That's a gift! To make people feel comfortable, loved and worthy of themselves. This picture says it all. I don't know what this conversation was about but he definitely got her attention! We will miss you so much. My sincerest condolences to the Acevedo Family.  It was a true pleasure working with Allen for just over a decade.   My thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of bereavement.

My favorite memories of Allen was always having fun, laughing  and joking  around.  He was a great  cousin to have around. As kids growing up, Allen was always at our home. We would make a basketball hoop out of a hanger and the basketball was stuffed socks. We had so many great times playing basketball just like that. Ivette and I will miss him tremendously. Allen we love you and will miss you like crazy. Love always David & Ivette. 

Allen was kind and gentle man, always helping others to achieve their best.  Allen hired me into AF, giving me an opportunity of a life time.  We worked for almost 32 years together, and he always was happy to help others.  We became friends and throughout the years, I admired his dedication for his family, the love for his parents, and the care he gave to his ailing mother.  I miss him dearly and are deeply sorry to see this gentle man leave us so soon.  My condolences to Nancy and the family.

I had the privilege of working with Allen for 8+ years. At work he was knowledgeable and efficient.  
Over time our relationship got more personal and I learned how empathetic and caring he was. 
He often mentioned how much he loved his mother and cared about his family. 
He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. 
He is not gone. He has just relocated.

Growing up with Ileyna as my best friend since we were 11, Alan was like a second father figure in my life. I knew him for most if my life and first came to know him as the over protective dad with a heart of gold with classic dad jokes He went above and beyond for his loved ones. Ill always remember him for his love of old school kung-fu movies, Bruce Lee and good Chinese food. He was the best example of a family man that I have known. May he rest in peace. 

A funny story about Allen, we all grew up together in the Bronx 180 Brook Ave, lived right next store too each other, went to the same schools and later on in life, Allen’s Mom & my Dad married, we were destined to be siblings. Now the funny part, Allen was playing with matches in the bedroom and the closet caught on fire by accident of course we were scared to death that our parents would kill us, but they didn’t they put out the small fire and of course we all got punished.  Allen is an amazing person, he is truly the person that you want in your corner and want to call him your brother, when he called me he would always say it’s your little brother calling Sis. I will miss you for a lifetime until we meet again.

My deepest condolences to my cousin Nancy and daughter Ileyna. I recently made a trip to FL and spent two days with these cousins. Allen was the most gracious man I've ever met - so kind and generous. His laugh was hearty and infectious. I am grateful to you Allen for being the husband and father this family wanted and needed. You were so deserving of each other.  Truly soulmates - Nancy and Mr Ace❤❤.  You touched many lives.  You are missed and will be remembered!  RIH✝️

Allen and I grew up like brothers sharing a room in my grandmothers home as young teenagers. We saw each other throughout many sad, crazy and good situations and always looked out for each other.  We went our separate ways, he in computer programming, me in the military, and both were fortunate to get married to two beautiful women and have wonderful children. Still, we always stay in touch and saw our families grow. I will miss his laughter, voice, humor… but most of all… his affection for family in general. He kept in touch with everyone and was the link to keeping us all connected.  I love my brother/cousin and will truly miss him every day. 

Nancy, we have lost two wonderful husbands in one week. Your loss breaks my heart as your "retired" lives were just beginning to grow. Allen was a gentle man, always helpful, kind, and of course, funny.  We enjoyed so many community activities with you and Allen in Brentwood.  May God help you through these times by granting you peace and the love of family and friends.

I loved working with Allen.   We were in different groups, but I worked with him many times to solve problems, and I learned a lot from him.  He would always wave to me if I walked by even if he was busy, so I would make a point to walk by his cubical to say hello to him when I was in his area.  He was so gracious and kind to everyone.   My deepest condolences to his family.

Allen was one nicest guys around. I enjoyed working with Allen and he always had the best stories. He will be truly missed. My condolence to Nancy and his family.

I've never known a nicer person than Allen Acevedo.  I was lucky to be able to sit next to him at the office for 2 years, and each one of those days was always filled with friendly conversation and lots of laughs.  Like many others, he shared his knowledge with me and radiated the values of what it is to be a good person.  He was kind, caring, generous with his time, and always himself: the Aceman.  I'll miss you, buddy.

Allen was a wonderful man.  He was the first trainer I had at AF and he graciously taught me everything he knew.  He was always willing to help with a great attitude and worked until a resolution was found.  He always had a kind word and loved to make people laugh.  I loved hearing his stories.  He was one of the most genuine and kind people I know.   My thoughts and prayers to his friends and family.   

Ace was one of the first people I met when I started at AF in Tarrytown, NY, and we shared many stories and laughs over the years. He had a heart of gold. God bless you Ace.

Allen always had great stories to tell and a unique way of telling them that I will always remember. When Allen was around, it was always made the day more enjoyable.  He loved his family and loved talking about them.  He will truly be missed.
