

CRUZ, Jr, Armando L., 90, of Tampa, was born in Tampa, FL on June 14, 1924 to the late Armando L. Cruz, Sr. and Marta Leon Cruz. He went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2014. Mr. Cruz was a WWII Navy Veteran, Chief Petty Officer E7, Master Electrician and Owner of Cruz Electric. He was a 32nd. Degree Mason, KCCH, member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite. He enjoyed being an active member of the Shriner organization, Commander of The Legion of Honor and serving as an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Cruz, was an avid traveler, wood craftsman and gardener. In addition to his parents, Armando is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Dalia Cruz, and his brother George L. Cruz. He is survived by his brothers; Tony Cruz and wife Joyce, Joe Cruz and wife Yolanda, Victor Cruz and wife Loretta, Jerry Cruz and Sister Vera Marquez and husband Angel; daughters, Diana Grandel and husband Joseph and Elizabeth Gaglione and husband Salvatore; grandchildren, Adrienne Blanchard and husband Michael, Alexis Campbell and husband Jeffrey and Amber Fuxan-Campbell, Amanda and Emily Gaglione; his great grandchildren, Alexandra, Gabriella and Gavin; his business partner and longtime friend Tim Fuxan and family. His dear friend Bill Evans and friend and caregiver Dina Portillo and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from the Carrollwood Chapel of Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 West Bearss Avenue, Tampa, FL 33618. Burial will follow the service in Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family and share in refreshments at the funeral home from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, August 29, 2014. All arrangements are under the direction of Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel.
