Awilda Romano

ROMANO, Awilda, 64, of Tampa, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. She is survived by her children, Evelyn, Joann, and Jose; her son-in-law Ruben and daughter-in-law Kim; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jayson, Joseph, and Raymond; great grandson Javien and one due any day now; sisters, Cynthia and Anna and brother, Angel. Awilda loved life, always remained positive and touched so many lives with her words of kindness and wisdom. She was extremely giving and selfless on every level. Rarely in life does one find an individual who is beautiful both inside and out, a true angel here on earth. Awilda was generous, honest and had so much compassion for anyone who came into her life. She enjoyed reading and some of her favorite books were written by Norman Vincent Peale, Joyce Meyer, and Joel Osteen. She was an awesome mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew her and loved her. We will always remember her as a butterfly, as that was her symbol in life. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 3:00-5:00PM on Sunday, January 11, 2014 at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood Chapel, 3207, W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa.
