Barbara Gail Riopel

Riopel, Barbara Gail, 80, of Tampa, FL. passed away on December 2, 2019. Barbara was born and raised in Providence, RI. In 1977, she moved to the Tampa Bay Area and after retiring as an office manager for an OBGYN office, she and the love of her life, Ron moved to South Carolina. The two enjoyed living in their shabby chic home and spent their time volunteering at a no kill shelter. In 2014, Barbara and Ron were missing the Florida lifestyle and moved back to Tampa. Barbara enjoyed cruising, gardening, her cats, but most of all spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John “Jack” and Edna McKiernan; and sister, Nancy McKiernan.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Riopel; sons, Scott Riopel and his wife Angela Heigl, and John Riopel and his wife Kris Watkinson; grandsons, Ryland Riopel, Devin Willenbrink, and Elijah Willenbrink.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 11am on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Blount and Curry Funeral Home located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa FL. 33618. Family will receive friends one hour prior.
