

Brian Geoffrey Chan, 51 of Tampa, born in Wiesbaden, Germany, passed away on November 11, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. Brian spent his youth in South Portland, Maine, and in Tampa, Florida. Brian was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend whose life was marked by his dedication to his family.
Brian is survived by his loving parents, Olan S. Chan and Geoffrey B. Chan, and his sister, Tatiana Chan. He leaves behind his cherished sons, Dylan L. Chan and Devon A. Chan, who were the pride and joy of his life. Brian was preceded in death by his son, Damon Geoffrey Chan, whose memory forever lives on.
Throughout his life, Brian was known for his unwavering commitment to his family and his ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. Brian had a passion for music and was a talented photographer and illustrator, known for his artistic eye and creative spirit. His warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and his legacy will continue through the love and memories shared by his family and friends.
His passing is deeply mourned by his family, both at home and in Germany. During this time, the family requests privacy as they grieve the loss of a remarkable man. They extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Brian's name to St. Joseph's Hospital (Tampa, FL), in gratitude for the care and support they provided during his time of need.
A celebration of Brian's life will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 10:00 AM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, located at 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610; with a funeral service at 11:00AM. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Brian, to honor his life and the impact he had on those who knew him.
Brian Geoffrey Chan will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
