Bruce A. Beausoleil

Bruce Beausoleil, 79 of Tampa, FL passed away on June 17, 2024. Bruce was born in Connecticut in 1944 to Doris and Bernard Beausoleil (KIA 1944, WWII). He attended Chamberlain High School and was a proud veteran of U.S. Marine Corps and U.S Army Reserves.

Bruce married Sharon, and together they had 2 children, Brian and Kelly. He served Hillsborough County with the Sherriff’s Office under Sheriffs Malcolm Beard, Walter Heinrich, and Cal Henderson for 25 years. He enjoyed camping, playing golf with friends, scuba diving, and collecting all things western and military lore. Bruce was also a proud member of the NRA, Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (Founding Member Chapter 17), American Legion, and donated generously to many non-profits. Bruce is survived by his son Brian Beausoleil with wife Patty, daughter Kelly Beausoleil Schmidt with husband Douglas, sister Barbara Baker with her children Lee and Karen, and grandchildren Riley, Kacey, Summer, and Sienna.

A Celebration of Life is being hosted by Brian and Kelly on Saturday June 29, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at American Legion Hall Post 147, 17383 Gunn Hwy, Odessa, FL 33556.

Friends and family are encouraged to stop by and share their fond memories, funny stories, and toast Bruce's dedication of service to country, philanthropy, family, and a life well lived.

Interment and service date at Florida National Cemetery to be announced at a later date.
