Tobey, Burton Martin, 84, of Tampa, Florida passed away on March 3, 2016. He was born in Augusta, Maine and relocated to the Tampa area in 1969. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, obtaining the rank of Master Sgt. He then worked for Roger Whitley Chevrolet for 22 years in the parts department. He liked computer games and woodworking in his leisure time. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jacqueline, daughter; Sherryl Ann Tobey and son; Martin James Tobey of Tampa, Fl. He is also survived by one sister; Carolyn Preble and 2 grandchildren, Chelsea Tobey of Chicago, Il and Courtney Meis(William) of Huntington Station, New York and 2 great grandchildren; Caleb and Clara Meis. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in the Blount & Curry Funeral Home- Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida, 33618 from 5-7 pm with a funeral service commencing at 6:15 pm. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 10:30am.
