Entered into rest at the age of 91 on October 26, 2018 Brandon, FL. He was a long-time resident of Hillsborough County, and a 65-year member of the Masons Tampa Lodge. He is preceded into rest by his parents Sandford Asa Smith and Georgia Louise Smith, brothers; Clyde Sanford Smith and Glenn Carrol Smith, son Dale Edwin Smith and loving wife of 34 years, Rena Smith. He is survived by his son Larry & daughter-in-law Tara Smith of Ft. McCoy, FL, daughter Karen & son-in-law Richard Jerry Douglas of Seffner, FL, son Paul Smith of Riverview, FL, step-son Bill & daughter-in-law Peggy Davis of Riverview, FL, step-daughter Janet & son-in-law Ron Cope of Brandon, FL, step-daughter Anita & son-in-law George Brawley of Brandon, FL, 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 beginning at 11am at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at the Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
