Thompson II, Charles Eugene 73, of Tampa, Florida died at home on September 13, 2024. Charlie is survived by his wife, Kathy Thompson; Child, Jamie Lea Thompson (Eric Shawn) of North Springfield, VT, his mother Virginia Schrekengast of Indianapolis IN, brother John Thompson (Debra) of Greenwood IN and his niece Bekka (Tony Franklin) of Washington, IN.
Charlie was born January 25th, 1951 in Indianapolis IN. He graduated from Center Grove High School in 1969, in White River Township adjacent to Indianapolis.
In 1974 Charlie married Kathy and moved to Tampa FL to attend USF. He graduated in 1979 and went to work for NCR and later returned to USF to get his teaching degree.
He worked with middle school students until he retired in May 2002, due to illness that progressed since Sept 1963. Charlie remained involved in the Episcopal Church and communicating with friends from grade school, high school, and USF. His life will be celebrated 10 AM at St. Chad’s Episcopal Church, 5609 N. Albany Avenue, Tampa FL 33603. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2pm in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4202 E. Lake Avenue Tampa FL 33610.
