Delia L Millard

Our dear mom Delia Millard passed away on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025 from cardiac complications. Mom was born on November 10th, 1942 to Rolando and Edelmira Leon in Tampa Florida. She was a proud resident of Ybor City in her youth and boasted many stories of those days. She met Dad in Jefferson Night School and after turning him down twice finally agreed to a date. The result was a long and happy 47 year marriage that begot two sons

Mom is survived by two sons Drake (Karen) and Troy (Kim), four grandkids Caitlyn (Brian), Matthew (Sierra), Sidney and Chrissy (Trevor) and her beloved dog Noel. I would be remis not to mention her dear friends Ellen and Zan Ingle, Aunt Martha, Rene and Marie Olga and Martha and Lewis.

Troy and I agree, at the critical moment, mom decided she had enough of this world and chose to go be with our dad Jimmy. Mom dedicated her 34 year career to being an ESOL Teacher to Elementary students. Mom most lover her family and lived for family times like Nocho Buena, Thanksgiving or her trip to Scotland. She loved playing Mexican Train, Rummikuv and Skippo with friends Mom was a generous soul and gave freely to anyone without asking for anything in return. While a kind person, God help anyone who even threatened to harm her family. She was a lifetime servant of God, Jesus and enjoyed her fellowship at East Chelsea Baptist Church.

A funeral service will occur Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A committal service will occur Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Tampa, FL 33610.
