Delphine began her eternal walk with Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 6, 2025. She joins her family members Joseph Candileri Sr. (father), Gladys Candileri (mother), Rose Marie Candileri (sister), and Joseph Candileri Jr. (brother).
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward Montoto, her children Rose Marie Montoto and Anthony Montoto (Jessica spouse). In addition, her two sisters Sheila Ann Musto (Alfonso Musto, spouse) and Catherine Jo Shoffstall (David Shoffstall, spouse), and several nieces and nephews, three grandchildren Kristina Ball Taylor (Jeremy Taylor, spouse), Adelyn Elise Montoto, and Audrey Ryden Montoto, and two great grandchildren Wyatt and Harper Taylor.
Delphine spent her entire life caregiving for others. Beginning at a young age, she was responsible for providing care for her closest family members. She married, had children, and worked in professions that required her to care for children. Delphine worked at Hilltop Daycare Center where she fed and watched over the children of others making certain that they were safe. Later in life she worked in the cafeteria at Shriners Hospital. She served the doctors, nurses, parents, and children in the hospital. She was a person that always puts others first and loved by all.
Delphine’s highest priority in life was protecting her two children. She lived, worried, and sacrificed for her children, Rosie and Anthony. Crossing her could easily be compared to a lioness guarding her cubs. The results will not be in one’s favor.
Delphine’s legacy lives on through her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of Delphine’s life will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. located at Brandon Fellowship Baptist Church, 2700 John Moore Road, Brandon, Fl. 33511.
