Dennis William Armour

ARMOUR, Dennis William, 56, passed away quietly in his sleep on June 14, 2016. Dennis was born in Mainz, Germany and moved around over half his life before settling down in Fayetteville, NC. He graduated High School from 71st High School (Fayetteville) in 1978. He attended Fayetteville Technical Community College, obtaining a Environmental Engineering degree and later on he married his wife, Linda on April 11, 1998. Dennis worked at Harris Teeter Grocery Store for over 2 years as well as for Goodyear Tire Company (known as Kelly-Goodyear Tire Company) for 24 years. For 18 years of the 24, he worked as a tire builder and the last six years as a trucker. Dennis moved to Tampa five years ago to be close to family members. Dennis loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda; children, Dennis W. Armour Jr. (Tampa), Steven L. Armour (Tampa), adopted child, Geovanie Iglesias (Fayetteville, NC), and step-son, Christopher Kropik (Fayetteville, NC) ; his sister, Sandra Jackson who resides outside of Fort Worth, Texas with her husband; his brother–in-law and wife, Robert and Chong Kropik who reside in Tampa, Florida. Dennis loved his family and he enjoyed celebrations with the family. He was proud of all of his children and how they blossomed into fine young men. He watched them grow up, get married and have children of their own. Over the past eight years his joy was seeing his grandchildren and watching them grow. Being a grandfather made Dennis very proud and happy. During Dennis’s last few days he saw his grand-babies and that brought joy in his heart. He was surrounded by the love of his family. A Memorial Mass will be held 9:30 am, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in New Tampa, 9724 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647
