Donald James McNally Sr. “Don” was born in Natick on October 11, 1942 and passed away peacefully with his family by his side March 16, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents Phillip and Viola (Balducci) McNally. Don joins his wife of fifty years Mary Jane McNally who preceded him in death in January 2019. Together they raised a family in Framingham MA.
Don will be remembered and missed by his three girls, Missy and her husband Matthew Maloof, Annie and her husband Jason Wian Sr. and Mary Beth and her husband Robert Buskey, and he also had one son; his nine grandchildren; Myles Maloof, Mackenzie Maloof, Jason Wian (Prince Harry) and his fiancé Savannah O’Neal, Gracelyn Wian, Cameryn Wian, Joe Wian, James Wian, Aydyn Buskey and Preston Buskey; his sister Jane and her husband Jerry Brunt and a brother Robert McNally and his wife Linda. He also has 3 nieces and one nephew as well as many extended families.
Don was an Army medic stationed in Hawaii at Tripler Army Medical Center On MoanaLua Ridge in Honolulu Hawaii upon graduation from Framingham High in 1961 . When he returned from serving his country, he would begin a career at Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham Ma and would retire upon their closing. He chose to retire to sunny Tampa Florida.
Don loved any Boston sports game; Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins or Celtics. After games he enjoyed having long conversations about the games with his grandson Myles, comparing notes about the game. You could take the guy out of Boston but not the love and loyalty for Boston Sports out of the man! Being from Massachusetts of course he walked up hill both ways in all weather, in the dark sometimes to school or on Saturdays to the quarter double feature! At least that’s what he always told the kids!
Services will be private with his daughters and their families.
