Donald R. Taaffe Sr.

He was born on June 20, 1939 in Tampa, Florida. He married Marguerite Ann Robbins on September

25, 1959 in Sarasota, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife Marguerite, his parents John and Mildred Taaffe, two brothers Robert and John Taaffe, one son Robert O’brien. He is survived by his brother Lee Taaffe, His daughter Maurica Shields and her husband Rick, two sons Steven Taaffe and his wife Lana, Donald Taaffe Jr. and Mary Hodges, 12 Grand Children and several Great Grand Children.

He was a devoted husband and father and a devoted minister of the Church of Christ. He was a member of the US Army and the National Guard, Owner of Taaffe & Associates Real Estate and Appraisal Company. He served as a Special Magistrate for Pinellas County Ad Volorum Tax Courts, and a former Regional Governor for the American Society of Appraisers.

Memorial Services will be held at Blount and Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610 on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 between 6:00 – 8:00 p.m..
