Donna was born September 15, 1943 in Gainesville, Georgia to Donald and Eunice Freeman. At the time of her birth, her father was stationed overseas during WWII, but sadly never made it home to meet her. Her mother eventually moved to Warner Robins, where Donna attended and graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1961. She married her love, Harold Hart, Jr., on December 23, 1962, in Warner Robins, Georgia—a union that would last 62 years.
Donna was an elegant woman who carried herself with confidence and grace, always taking the time to look her best. She cherished time with her family and was never more excited than when she became a grandmother. She had a deep faith in the Lord and was always active in her church. Whether it was leading a youth group, working in the church office or serving as a deacon, she always wanted to be involved. Her servant’s heart led her to bring Stephen Ministries to her church, which had a life-changing impact on several women’s lives. She passionately studied God’s word, becoming a leader in Community Bible Study and an avid prayer warrior.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Donald Freeman; her adoptive father, Howard T. Barry; her mother, Eunice Barry; and her brother, Malcolm Robertson.
She is survived by her devoted husband Harold Hart, Jr.; her son, Tim Hart (Kim), and daughter, Tarri Kalhoefer (Craig); grandchildren, Claire, Kyle, Ethan and Hunter; her sister, Jacque Webb; sister-in-law, Sandra Farrer, brothers-in-law, Sydney Farrer, Jeff Hart and Larry Webb; nephews, Brian Farrer, Jason Winters and Jeremy Winters; nieces, Lisa Farrer Smith and Becca Webb Lyman.
A memorial service for Donna will be held at 3:00 p. m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home—Carrollwood, located at 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa, FL 33618. There will be a visitation starting at 2:00 p. m. and reception immediately following the service.
