Doris C. Wise, age 84, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on April 27, 2025. She was born on July 18, 1940 to the late Nick and Ophelia Fernandez. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Wise. She is survived by her sister, Cynthia Riggs along with her nephew, Thomas Riggs (Li), and grand nephew, Jonathan Riggs. Doris had a successful career in the banking industry. She started her work at the International Bank of Tampa as a teller, then moved into management and retiring as Vice President and Branch Manager at Barnett Bank in Tampa. She and Bill enjoyed traveling around the world. Doris loved to garden and spend time with her family. A visitation for Doris will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Blount and Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610, followed by a funeral from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow immediately at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
