YARBROUGH, Doris Ann, 81, of Tampa passed away, Jan. 23, 2015. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 30 years, Dennis Melvin. She is survived by sons Dennis Jr. (Becky), Steve (Marilyn), and Pat (Kim); 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Doris worked for GTE Florida (Verizon) as an Operator Service Supervisor and retired in 1985 after 25 years. Born in Wauchula, she lived in Florida all her life and met the love of her life in Winter Haven settling in Tampa in the early 50’s where she became a waitress with Mirabella Restaurant. Doris was a woman of faith who loved the Lord as her Savior and attended Lake Carroll Baptist Church. She was known by many for her good southern cooking. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and her vivacious spirit will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Jan, 29th at Lake Carroll Baptist Church, 12012 N. Rome Avenue, Tampa with visitation from 11 am until service time. Interment will be at Lutz Cemetery following the service.
