Edith G. Santiago Johnson

Edith Gabales Santiago Johnson died unexpectedly at the age of 67 in her son's home on January 20, 2017 in Tampa, FL. Edith was born in the Philippines in 1949, a daughter of the late Anastacia and Ramon Santiago. She married Gary Johnson, moved to the United States and they were happily married for 34 years. They had lived in many countries to include Philippines, Turkey, Australia, and Thailand. Edith is survived by her husband, Gary Johnson; son, Marc Vitorillo (Sharon); daughter, Ethel Horvath (Brian) and daughter, Charmaine Raymond (Paris). She delighted in her grandchildren: Dondre Oliver, Jasmine Oliver, Kai'Rell Lewis, Gianna Raymond, Marissa Vitorillo, Miles Vitorillo and Brianna Horvath. A multitude of loving nieces and nephews all held a very special place in her heart. Edith was accomplished at singing and gardening. She was a dedicated wife, generous mother and grandmother who loved taking care of her loved ones, always placing others ahead of herself. She taught us all the meaning of unconditional love. Service is scheduled at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel. Visitation precedes the service at 3:00 pm. Pastor Anthony Wagener-Smith will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Edith's life.
