Elizabeth Gooch Ussery

Elizabeth Ann Ussery, “Bettye”, 81 of Tampa, FL went to be with the Lord on Jan. 13, 2017 in Perry, GA. Elizabeth was born in Richmond, KY. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Homer Doyle Ussery Sr. Elizabeth lived a life of giving. She was godly, generous, kind, loving, caring, honest, resilient, amazing, thoughtful, humble, and most of all selfless. She was the anchor of her family and impacted the lives of everyone that knew her. Survivors include her daughter, Shielah Ussery Donegan and husband Bret; son, Homer Doyle Ussery Jr.; grandchildren, Dean Donegan and wife Jodi, Justin Ussery and wife Kacey, Kristen Ussery; great-grandchildren, Angelina Donegan, Presley Pittman, Cali Cook; sisters, Doris Jonas and Pam Parker and husband Bob; and brothers, Paul Gooch and John Gooch. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel; family will start receiving guests at 10am. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with her husband Homer; you can visit her grave after 4pm on Jan. 19, 2017.
