Eugene Roberts Jr., 61, of Land O' Lakes, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. Originally from Jackson, New Hampshire, Eugene, affectionately known as “Geno” or “Coach,” was an alumnus of Kennett High School and New Hampshire College. He devoted 28 years to his career as a Superintendent at various golf courses before transitioning to his role as a District Manager at Inframark.
Geno was deeply committed to his family, dedicating countless hours to coaching and supporting his children and many other young athletes, as well as cherishing moments with his beloved grandchild, Harper. Outside of watching the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and New England Patriots play, he found joy in fishing during his leisure time.
Known for his selflessness and kindness, Geno made a lasting impact on everyone he met. His ability to uplift and inspire others was matched by his thoughtful critiques, always aimed at helping those around him reach their full potential. His legacy of compassion and constructive honesty will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Roberts Sr.; his brother, Brian Roberts; his brother-in-law, Charles Daly; and his nephew, Chaz Daly.
Geno is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lisa Roberts; his two sons, Michael and Tyler Roberts; and his daughter, Cassidy Roberts. He is also survived by his mother Jean Roberts, his two sisters Brenda Daly, and Shirley Skolozdra, his daughter-in-law Paige Roberts and granddaughter Harper Roberts.
A casual gathering in celebration of Geno’s life will be held at Westchase Golf Course on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a commemorative ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to share their cherished memories and stories in his honor.
