Soory that due to my health condition I cannot express personally my sympathy to the Perotti family which I have many good memories as friends and had the privelege of working with.

Florence was such a wonderful woman. She was my grandmother's cousin, and one of her closest friends. I have so many wonderful memories of visiting her and her family at her home, and going on excursions with my grandmother, my brother, Florence and Michael Perotti. Florence always treated me as if I were very special, and was such a kind, loving, generous, warm, hilarious woman. I will miss her. Sending so much love and many prayers to all of the Perottis.

Years ago I visited Flo, Paul and Martha in Tampa.  While sitting around the dining room table talking smart and savoring the vestiges of yet another of Martha's wonderful meals, Flo learned that I enjoyed cigars. 

You should have seen her face come alive!  Her arms started swinging and her hands flowed as she described the shops in Ybor City, insisting on taking me there the following day.  Apparently her husband, Martha's father, was a connoisseur of fine cigars and was well known among the better shops.  

The following day Flo, Paul, Martha and I went downtown.  When we walked into the first shop, the owner and his family came rushing out, calling out Flo's name and embracing her as a long, lost relative!  She explained why we were there, and before I knew what was happening, we were ushered into the back room vault, an old walk-in safe serving as this shop's humidor.  The owner asked several questions about my taste in cigars, and it was immediately apparently that my knowledge of fine tobacco was (and still is) akin to twist-off caps on bottles of wine.  A fine cigar is a delight, but its nuances are pretty much wasted on me.  Nonetheless, the ever-patient owner explained bout the art of rolling cigars and the pedigree of Cuban-Honduran tobaccos.  Off I went with several boxes of wonderful cigars at an incredible price, all due to Flo.
  
Then we walked into the next cigar shop only to be treated once again as lost royalty.  These people loved Flo! Again we were ushered into the back rooms, and there were further, patient explanations of tobacco layers, rolling techniques, and best practices for smoking cigars of this quality.  Several more boxes purchased, and finally we took a break for lunch. 

Flo was so excited about the morning and the chance to visit old friends.  Can't you just picture her excited face, her flowing and expressive hands?   She was also excited about treating us to a favorite haunt where they served Cuban sandwiches and other delicacies. I don't know what I ate.  I only remember that it was absolutely delicious and that Flo was happier than I that the food was so good. 

This is Florence Perotti.  Energy, spirit, and forever-on-the-edge-of-her-seat, ready to laugh or have fun.  The Perottis lost Flo to Alzheimers some years ago and just lost her life to God, but I know that she's up there with the angels making order out of the chaos while keeping everyone in stitches! 
Flo, I didn't know you well, but I really miss you.  God bless you, Flo, and thank you for your love and kindness.

My heartfelt condolences for your loss.  I worked with Flo for many years at HCC and can remember her as always a very happy jolly person.  
I saw Luciano Pavarotti with her in Sarasota at the Van Wezel(?)when he was just getting started.  She took an entouraage from HCC and we were sat in front of the 1st row--We were almost on top of Mr Pavarotti--and afterwards we were all taken backstage to talk to him and get his autograph.  At the time I did not even know who Mr Pavarotti was--What an experience!--Thank you Flo for a wonderful friendship.

Flo, Flo : ) Just saying it brings a smile to your face. Only Flo could take a 15 year old girl, sneak piercing her ears and then send her off to AHN for her first year as a soph with strings in her ears for 6 weeks. I am sure glad I had long hair... Florence Perotti was the welcoming face in the family to me as a new bride over 40 years ago, after I married her cousin's son!She could melt a shy person's heart with her beaming smile and warm voice and big hugs!
