BURGESS, Harry Glenn, 87, of York, SC, left this Earth to be with the Lord on Aug. 12, 2015. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Glenn Burgess. He was a Lead Mechanic at the American Can Company for 35 years and was passionate about gardening. He was a Southern Baptist Deacon in his church and loved the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 68 years, Virginia L. Burgess; children, Gloria (Russell Mantovani, Patty (Benny) Platt, Tim (Sheila) Burgess, Ingrid Burgess, Lee Ann (Ron) Remon; brother, Raymond Burgess; grandchildren, Robert Glenn Burgess, Tara Stamm, Adam Mantovani, Micah Mantovani, Rebecca Platt, George Ernest Platt, Crystal Platt, Crystina Platt, Alexander Ramsey, Bronte Remon, Joshua Remon; 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place Monday, Aug. 17 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4207 E. Lake Avenue Tampa. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
