

Lasater III, James Harrington, 52, of Tampa, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2017. James was born in Madrid, Spain on July 7, 1965 to James Harrington Lasater II and Mari Carmen Lasater. He is survived by his mother, Mari Carmen Lasater; nephew, David Lasater; loyal canine best friend, Chico; extended family and friends. James moved to Tampa with his family at just 9 years old. He attended St. Patrick Elementary and Middle School and graduated with his High School Diploma from Robinson High School. James received his Associates in Arts from Hillsborough Community College and went on to graduate with a Masters in Education from the University South of Florida. Throughout his career as a high school teacher, he loved teaching Foreign Language and History. When he wasn't teaching, his favorite pastimes were watching soccer, La Seleccion de Spain, Real Madrid and Real Zaragoza. James was a devoted son to his mother, loving uncle to his nephew, dedicated teacher to his students and loyal friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood on Bearss Avenue on Friday, September 29 from 6-8pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Tampa on Saturday, September 30 at 11:30AM with a procession to follow to Myrtle Hill Memorial Gardens for burial.
