Baker, Janice Rosamond, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 70 years, Kendall, her parents, Harold and Marie Schuetze, and her sister, Marie “Fritzie” Joiner. She was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Hillsborough High School. Janice is survived by her loving family; son Dr. William Kendall Baker, Jr. (Sally) and daughter Kay Baker Myers (Steve); grandson William Kendall Baker, III (Mary); and granddaughters Kimberly Myers Cudzil (Eric), Alison Myers Fisher (Aaron), and Meg Baker Netter (Todd); and seven great-grandchildren. Janice was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her sweet smile, loving kindness, Christian generosity, and thoughtfulness touched many lives. The family would like to thank Ana, Karlita, Maria, Bobbie, and Carol for their love and care over the past five years and her long-time friend Rosa Davis. A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Donations may be made in Janice’s memory to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, HOPE Children’s Home, or Life Path Hospice (Ruby Team).
