Jean started her banking career with The Exchange National Bank in Tampa Florida, right out of high school. Over the years, it changed hands a number of times and after 42 years of service, she retired from Bank of America. She had been a teller, account manager, loan officer, a Branch Manager at Hyde Park and retired doing acquisitions at corporate office in Tampa. She loved helping people and was praised as an amazing employee for many years while at the bank.
Jean lost her husband Chuck, of 47 years, 9 years ago, and has been patiently awaiting her reunion with him ever since. She lost her Uncle Jack (who was like her brother), in 2015. She is survived by her two sons: Christopher Daniel Jenkins of Tampa, Fla and Charles Scott Jenkins, of Stallings NC, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, whom she loved with all of her heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, with a Visitation and hour prior Monday, August 10, 2020 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa FL 33610. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Guests may attend the service but due to the current situation in our country, the Funeral Home asks that you wear an appropriate face covering and observe “social distancing”.
