

John Frank Belluso, 74, passed away on May 29, 2022, in Tampa, Florida. He was born in Miami, Florida to Nicholas Michael Belluso and Virginia Margaret Fehr Belluso. He married Ella Belluso on August 20,1988 in Tampa, Florida. In his younger years, John worked as a Disc Jockey, a job he very much relished, and was known as Johnny Mac Brown. Later in life, he worked in finance in the automotive industry. John was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart Medal.
John was devoted to his wife, Ella, and together, they enjoyed going out to dinner, playing golf and shopping. One of John’s favorite past times was to read political novels and watch the boats go by from the balcony of their condo. An avid, competitive golfer and card player, John was a member of the Carrollwood County Club where he met weekly with his buddies to discuss world events and to challenge them to beat him at cards. He was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Ella, of 33 years (his “rock”), his daughter Amy Willingham, and son, John Christopher, his brother Nick and his sisters, Deb (Joel) Gunnells, Kammy (Mike) Alfonso, Kiri (Rodney) Cooper, his sisters-in-law Cora (Bob) Herb and Mary Sue Meyerhoven. Grandchildren Katelin, Emma and Zac will miss him, along with his several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church,12708 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Florida 33618, on June 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life will follow at Carrollwood Country Club, 13903 Clubhouse Drive, Tampa, Florida 33618 on June 24, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. with interment at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida on July 6 at 11am.
