Joseph R. Maggio, 89, of Wesley Chapel, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, New York to Giuseppe and Vincenza Maggio. He was a Catholic by faith. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Maggio; daughter, Janet Maggio and son, Joseph K. Maggio. Survivors include his daughter, Christine Summers; son-in-law, Jim Summers; brothers, Kenneth Maggio and Bernard Maggio; sister-in-law, Grace Maggio and many nieces, nephews and countless friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 6 – 8 pm, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 West Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL, 33618.
