Kaitlyn Elizabeth Silverwood

Silverwood, Kaitlyn Elizabeth, 16, of Tampa passed away on April 26, 2016. She was a sophomore at Steinbrenner High School where she attained Principal’s Honor Roll, and was a member of the tennis team . Kaitlyn was a faithful and devoted member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, where she was an active member in youth ministry, and was to be confirmed on May 15, 2016. Kaitlyn was known for her sweet disposition, gentle spirit and never without a smile. She had an infectious laugh and always made the most of every single day. She always found a way to bring people together, never held grudges and always saw the best in everyone. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Don Spence. Survivors include her loving parents, Kim and Jim; brother, Matthew; paternal grandparents, Jim and Eileen Silverwood; maternal grandmother, Mary Spence; uncles, Bill Silverwood and Mark, his wife Nicole and cousin, Taryn Spence; along with very special friends, Leo, Lisa, Erica, Steven and Vanessa Morejon. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 5-8pm with a funeral mass at 10:30am on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, both at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lutz. Burial to follow 2:00PM at North Meadow Lawn Cemetery in New Port Richey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kaitlyn’s memory to the Mother Theresa of Calcutta Catholic School, 17524 Lakeshore Road Lutz, FL 33558.
