Linda Laverne Young Lee

Linda Laverne Young Lee, age 80, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, in Tampa, Florida. She was born on March 11, 1945, in Bradford County, Florida, and carried her North Florida roots with her throughout her life.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Linda’s greatest joy came from spending time with the people she loved. She found simple happiness in word searches, bingo (she won often!), Hallmark movies, plants, and her favorite sweet desserts, especially chocolate. She enjoyed shopping trips to Target, coffee from First Watch, and sharing snacks with her beloved yorkie, Savannah. Most of all, she cherished every moment spent with her family.

Linda was strong in her faith, and it guided her throughout her life.

She is survived by her sons, Hoyt Eddie Lee Jr. and Swain Shuman; her brother, Robert Young; and her sister, Patricia Davis. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her love and legacy forward.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Eddie Lee Sr.; her daughter, Laura Summerville Pyle; and her siblings Wayne Young, Bobby Young, CL Young, and JoAnn Young Lee.

Services will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery on December 22, 2025, at 11:30am.

Linda’s love, humor, and gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
