Louise Webb Morris, age 90, a native of Tampa, Florida, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, peacefully in Atmore, AL, where she lived near her daughter for 20 years. Louise was a graduate of Hillsborough High School (’53). She married her high school sweetheart and had 5 children.
She delighted in the simple things in life.
She loved arts, especially crafting and sewing. She enjoyed sharing her love of art with others. She took in seamstress work and made gowns for the Gasparilla festival as well as she made most of her daughter's dresses. She made banners for AFC CIO, the local firefighters' union, as well as for the church for special events.
She was truly devoted to her children and young babies. She became a nanny to countless infants and toddlers. She liked to make kites and cut-out flowers. She entertained children by making cardboard boats, airplanes, and houses to their delight.
She could while away an afternoon watching children play and flowers bloom.
Louise loved to play games, scrabble, rummy, and yahtzee were her favorites. She was an avid bowler and was on many leagues. Her best average was a 192, and one year her team won the league championship.
She was an animal lover, and she loved her many pets.
Whether it was a short trip in Tampa, a trip to Gulf Breeze to see her daughter, or up to the mountains to see her sister, she would travel near and far to see the ones she loved.
She loved music, and especially enjoyed listening to her children play in the band. She loved hymns and silly songs. It wasn’t out of character for her to break into a little tune that popped in her head. She loved playing and listening to the organ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Edith (DeeDee) Webb; her brother William (Bill); her brother Robert (Bob) and wife Marjorie (Margie); her sister Marguerite and husband Harold; her son Eugene (Chris); and the father of her children, Cleveland.
She is survived by her children: Craig, Lynette (Lee), Sharon, and Connie Lynn, and her Grandchildren: Cameron, Carmen, Aaron, Ann, and Marie, and great-grandchildren Alan, Allison, Ava, Aurora, Olivia, Aubrey, Sasillia, and Lucas.
