

Born on July 16, 1950, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, to the late Natalie and Abel Joseph, Manu lived a life defined by strength, grace, and devotion. She graduated from Charlotte Amalie High School and later married the love of her life, Alvin O. Davis, in St. Thomas. Together, they built a home filled with tradition, laughter, and unwavering family bonds.
Manu dedicated her career to serving others as a valued postal worker with the United States Postal Service, admired for her reliability, kindness, and warm spirit. Outside of work, she poured her heart into her passions, cooking, traveling, and bringing family and friends together. Holidays and celebrations were her specialty, and her meals, stories, and presence created lasting memories for everyone she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abel and Natalie Joseph; her brothers Joseph Alexander, Richard Walduf, Li Chang, and Hu Shein; and her children Li Antonio and Alia Brathwaite.
Manu leaves a legacy of love carried forward by her devoted husband, Alvin O. Davis; her sons, Duane Holland Sr. (Geri Magras Holland) and Rolan Monsanto; her grandchildren D’Nisha Caines (Shanel Caines), Danae Holland, Duane Holland Jr., DeShaurna Robles, Kaela Monsanto, and Andrae Monsanto; and her great-grandchildren Aamir Caines, Aria Caines, and Ellani Holland.
She is also survived by her siblings: brothers Ai Lun Joseph and Jen Sun Joseph Sr. (Denise); and sisters Mei Ling Joseph, Loo Fey Venzen (Herbert), Nang Sein Joseph, Eling Sharon Joseph Stokes (Nicholas), Linyi Shawn Dalmida, Lili Sara Joseph, and Ru Lan Joseph. She is further survived by her stepchildren Gregory Davis, Deborah Davis, and Lisa McGregor, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Those who knew Manu remember her laughter, her stories, and her uncanny ability to make everyone feel at home. Whether it was a holiday feast, a simple afternoon visit, or a long phone call, her warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on all who loved her. Her love was felt in small, everyday moments, and those moments will be treasured forever.
To know Manu was to experience warmth, comfort, and unconditional love. Her presence filled every room, her cooking nourished both body and spirit, and her legacy will continue to guide and inspire her family for generations. She will be forever cherished and deeply missed.
A funeral service honoring Manu’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 20735 Leonard Rd, Lutz, FL 33558.
