Margarita Isabel Gutierrez

Margarita Isabel Gutierrez, 93, of Tampa, Florida, was reunited with her heavenly family on November 14, 2025. She was born on September 18, 1932, in Santander, Spain – the youngest of seven children.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and a devout Catholic and long-time parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was well-loved by the community and to all who knew her.

Margarita married Eduardo H.S. Gutierrez in 1956 in Spain and shortly thereafter emigrated to the United States to begin a new life adventure in America. She helped her husband in the family pharmacy business, all while raising six children. She became a U.S. Citizen in 1991.

Margarita is survived by her children Edward Gutierrez and his wife Gladys, Gerard Gutierrez and his wife Deborah Matthews, Louis Gutierrez (wife Susan Eden Rush, deceased), Robert Gutierrez and his wife Gia, Margaret McCaskey and her husband Robert, and Julian Gutierrez and his wife Dawn. She had 16 adoring grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents Júlian and Angeles Cereceda.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lifepath Hospice or Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Buenos sueños, until we can all meet again. She will remain forever in our hearts. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 509 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33602, on November 20, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, on November 20, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
